• Include all workshop attendees, both adults and children, in your group ticket purchase. No one without a ticket will be admitted into the workshop area, and adults must accompany children at all times.

art studio workshop: ceramic beads

Shape, paint and personalize ceramic beads with your little artist! Leave your beads with us to fire in our kilns, and then take them home to make your own keychain, backpack tag or custom jewelry.

Beads will be ready for pick-up 2 weeks after the workshop date.

joy park workshop: evening in the park

Experience the magic of Joy Park and Adventure Forest in the evening! Bring your own picnic, navigate the 500 ft. long adventure course and art installation, go on a scavenger hunt, wind down with some s'mores (provided) and so much more. Designed for all ages.

Important Notes

• This experience takes place after normal operating hours. Except for the restrooms, the inside of the Museum will be closed.

• There is no member discount for this private play experience.

• All Adventure Forest climbers must be able to climb independently and be at least 5 years old or 44" tall. 

• Adults must accompany children at all times.

• No alcohol is allowed on the premises.

teaching kitchen workshop: ice cream party

Cool off in The Teaching Kitchen as we whip up homemade ice cream! Little chefs will learn two ways to make this delicious treat; first we’ll use an ice cream machine and then we will use our muscles to hand “churn” a batch. With classic flavors and epic toppings, it’s sure to be legen-DAIRY!

teaching kitchen workshop: harvest kitchen

Explore two spaces in one workshop! Begin your adventure in The Teaching Kitchen to create a harvest list for your lunch. Then, take a field trip out to the Cornercopia Garden where young gardeners will learn how to harvest the produce needed for the recipe. 

Now it’s time to cook! Head back upstairs to The Teaching Kitchen to whip up a delicious, farm-to-table meal.
