art studio workshop: fairy garden homes
Sculpt your dream fairy garden out of clay! From cozy beds made out of flower petals to magical wishing wells, anything is possible. Once you’ve crafted your fairy home, decorate your world with colorful underglazes and then leave it with us to be fired in the kiln.
Pieces are ready for pick-up 2 weeks after the workshop date.

Join us in The Art Studio to make a clay treasure box for your most prized possessions. Customize your box in shape, size and color to make it uniquely yours!

joy park workshop: dinosaur excavation
In 1984, the Children’s Museum opened its doors alongside the Platte River, but can you help us uncover what was here before? Join our excavation crew outside in the Joy Park Sand Dunes to dig for ancient dinosaur “fossils” and learn about what life looked like millions of years ago.

joy park workshop: evening in the park
Experience the magic of Joy Park and Adventure Forest in the evening! Bring your own picnic, navigate the 500 ft. long adventure course and art installation, go on a scavenger hunt, wind down with some s'mores (provided) and so much more. Designed for all ages.
Important Notes
This experience takes place after normal operating hours. Except for the restrooms, the inside of the Museum will be closed.
There is no member discount for this private play experience.
All Adventure Forest climbers must be able to climb independently and be at least 5 years old or 44" tall.
Adults must accompany children at all times.
No alcohol is allowed on the premises.

Join us in The Teaching Kitchen as we make crispy veggie spring rolls with a homemade dipping sauce and a refreshing soba noodle dish. Enjoy your creation with a fork or see if you can master the art of chopsticks!

teaching kitchen workshop: summer, sunshine and snacks
Enjoy a scrumptious summer adventure with your little ones!
Start in The Teaching Kitchen and whip up mouthwatering cheese and avocado sandwiches, a refreshing summer salad, a frosty lemonade and a strawberry shortcake-inspired dessert. Once your picnic meal has been perfected, head outside to Joy Park to savor the delicious treats in the summer sun.
