  • Membership Cards and Admission

    I purchased my membership online and haven't received my card yet. Can I visit the Museum before my card comes?
    Yes! Your membership is active on the date of purchase. Please bring your email confirmation and photo ID to verify your membership.

    What should I do if I didn't receive/can't find my digital membership card?
    Digital membership cards can be accessed by logging into the Membership Portal. Email Membership@mychildsmuseum.org if you are unable to log-in.

    Can I use my membership card for a school visit?
    No, memberships cannot be used for school group admission.

    Can my relative or friend use the membership in place of my second adult?
    Memberships are non-transferable and are intended only for those whose names are on the card. Your guest options are:

    • $2 off general admission for up to 2 guests
    • Let our front desk know you wish to use one of your two guest passes
    • Upgrade your membership to include a guest, named or unnamed

     

    How much does it cost to add an additional person to my membership?
    $30 for Children's Museum memberships or $36 for our Combo membership with Butterfly Pavilion.

    Does the Additional Person/Guest have to be named?
    No. Caregivers and guests can rotate and may bring the children named on the membership in the absence of the named primary adult member(s).

    Can I upgrade my membership?
    Yes, you can upgrade your Children's Museum membership at the front desk. If you'd like to upgrade to the Combo membership with Butterfly Pavilion, contact the Membership Department at 303-561-0150.

  • Guest Passes

    I see that a benefit of my membership is two free guest tickets. How will I receive these passes?
    Guest passes are linked electronically to your account. To redeem, simply let our front desk staff know you wish to use a guest pass when you come in.

    Can my guest redeem my one-time use passes if I am not there?
    Just send your guest(s) with your membership card and they will be able to redeem your electronic guest passes.

    Can I use guest passes at events?
    Guest passes are not valid during any signature events, member-only events or for workshops.

  • Membership Portal and Account Info

    How do I log-in to the Membership Portal?
    Click here, then create an account using the name and email of the primary adult on the account.

    Why does the Museum request my email address?
    Email is the primary way we communicate with our members. Your membership card is delivered via email, and it is the best way to stay up-to-date on Museum events and offers.

    How can I update my mailing or email address?
    Your address can be updated in the Membership Portal. If you prefer, send an email to Membership@mychildsmuseum.org with your name, address, membership number (if available), and your changes.

    I don't want to receive mailings from the Museum. How do I get on the "do not mail" list?
    Please send an email to Membership@mychildsmuseum.org with your name, address and membership number (if available) requesting to be removed from the mailing list.

  • Gift Cards

    What can I purchase with my gift card?
    E-gift cards are redeemable towards Museum admission, memberships and purchases in The Gift Shop and Café. Not redeemable for cash or venue rentals.

    How do I redeem my e-gift card?
    E-gift cards are redeemable at the Museum only (not online) and must be shown at time of redemption.

    How will I receive my e-gift card purchase?
    All e-gift cards will be emailed to you, or if you choose, emailed to your specified gift recipient on your chosen delivery date.

    I purchased an e-gift card online and it has not arrived yet. Who do I contact?
    Email Membership@mychildsmuseum.org. Please provide as much info as possible (receipt number, date of purchase, name of purchaser and gift recipient, etc.). 

  • Tax-deductibility and Refunds

    Are memberships tax-deductible?
    Yes. Membership contributions are fully tax-deductible.

    I am preparing my taxes. How can I get a receipt for a membership that I purchased?
    Send an email to Membership@mychildsmuseum.org with your name and the name of your spouse (if applicable), address and membership number, and we will email you a receipt with your purchase information. You can also use your email confirmation if you purchased online.

    Can I get a refund for my membership?
    Memberships are non-refundable. However, your membership is considered a donation and is 100% tax-deductible.

    We are moving out of state and have just renewed our Family Membership. Can I give my membership to my friend's family?
    Museum memberships are non-transferable. Your membership is tax-deductible and is considered a donation.

  • Reciprocal Membership

    I have a membership from another Children's Museum, can I use it for entry into the Children's Museum of Denver at Marsico Campus?
    If your membership has reciprocal benefits, it will have an ACM logo sticker on it. Present your museum membership card and photo ID upon check-in to receive 50% off admission for up to six people.

    Can I use my membership to get a discount at other museums when I travel?
    The Family, Family Plus, Grandparent and Grandparent Plus levels of membership include discounted admission for up to six people, including the cardholder, at 120 participating children’s museum’s. You must have your membership card with you to redeem the discount. Check out participating museums here.
